I've heard of these; after Cadillac ceased production of the factory limousine the U.S. State department had some made for several years. Actually they might still be having them made. How should we categorize this? Brougham Limousine? |

The current US presidential vehicle, known as "The Beast" is based on Chevrolet heavy duty truck frame. It's likely to also be highly modified even back in the late 1980s when it was still based on the Cadillac. If these is just another limo, none of this applies, but if it is supposed to be the real deal, I've included a wiki link to the presidential state car which might give you more offical nomenclature. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Presidential_state_car_(United_States) |

That is a custom limousine based on a Cadillac Brougham (1987-89. It's style to resemble the RWD Fleetwood 75 that was last produced in 1984. These cars were used by funeral homes and by government. They have only one rear seat agumented by a pair of forward-facing jump seats in the rear compartment, like the Fleetwood 75. -- Last edit: 2013-05-31 16:59:48 |
