shan ◊ 2009-12-02 01:14	The station wagon shown here is a 1942 or later Ford or Mercury, up to 1948 because the running board trim as seen in the lower left portion of the photo; 1942 was the first year this trim was installed on war-era Ford wagons, but was an approved accessory option for 1935-1939, but looked much differemt than that shown here. There was no such trim available for 1940-41. Also, the split rear window on Ford/Mercury wagons of this era began in 1940, whereas the 1939 and earlier wagons had an undivided, one-piece rear window. 1940 Ford Cars including Station Wagons came in two versions; Deluxe and Standard. \"Super Deluxe\" was not a line-name used by Ford until 1941.
