I think this type of roof is specific to the ARO M-461 (1965-75), even though the vehicle plays the role of a GAZ 69. |

You have right! My mistake: I was looking to the wrong pictures - the small pictures with the front views, posted by Ralph. It,s a ARO M-461 C! Is not because of the top! Metal top was use only for czech market. It's ARO, because of the fuel cap: is on right side; GAZ have it on the left side! -- Last edit: 2009-10-24 20:13:15 |

Some AROs 461 (pre-C) had filler cap on the left too. Anyway it is 461 C indeed, but not the earliest one. EDIT: this covered with small lid filler cap had to be introduced around 1970/71, judging by the brochures posted here: http://www.arom461.ro/brosuri.html 1970: http://www.arom461.ro/press-report/brosuri/TARE1.jpg 1971: http://www.arom461.ro/press-report/brosuri/dei-dacia/dei-dacia-pag3.jpg Cars delivered in 1969 still had old one. -- Last edit: 2018-09-13 16:07:56 |
