 The right one might be a Volkswagen Taro

The other one: /vehicle_582784-Toyota-Hilux-1997.html could indeed be a Taro as the badge looks more circular and they were sold here (just in tiny numbers) though I'm not sure they did them as a double cab.

 No, the Taro was never a double cab. And it always had the lower suspension.
