The extra knowledge about early Ticos in Poland!  Tico was sold since May 1993. And sold very well from begining. Much better than importer supposed! That time it was good & easy available counteroffer to FIAT Cinquecento (with limited numbers available in Poland, on early years, mostly with 704 cc. weak engine). First set of 500 Ticos was sold through just few weeks! In late June - early July the second 500 pcs set was selling, third set was comming from Korea. Info has been found on interview with Jerzy Kaczmarek, Ticar's CEO ('Auto Motor Sport' July 21th 1993). |

Yes, Darewnoo's website has good description of "Polish" imported Ticos trims: http://darewnoo.pl/samochody-seryjne/tico The TV advert with K. Ibisz was before the Daewoo-FSO era too - slogan "mały, wielki samochód" IIRC. The car on this page isn't of this early period though, it had black bumper of different type and also rear wiper - 1996+. |
