Mixture of 80s and 90s features. RHD so assuming it started as a UK model; no headrests (introduced 82+) or tints but patterned seats, so 1980 Mini 1000 HL is either spot on or pretty close. |

@dsl: This is in Hong Kong (see the Discovery), so it would be RHD anyway. -- Last edit: 2013-03-14 21:40:01 |

Did Mini 1000 has 2 gas tanks? |

No, but some other, older Minis (maybe only the old Cooper S?) did. |

The Mini scene in Ep 25 is tyre change, I think. -- Last edit: 2013-04-19 07:15:30 |

The wheels look like Suzuki Carry. |

A generic spare wheel (edit: and car's wheels), I think. edit: Probably a different car (car changed), due to different wheel (in Ep 06, the Mini has non-generic wheels like in Ep 25.) edit: No. He change front-right wheel. Another wheels are same as Ep 06, not generic wheels. -- Last edit: 2013-04-19 07:14:22 |

The burberry-ish seat trim is AFAIK about 1980 for Mayfair. Sandie's correct that only 60s-early 70s Cooper S had twin tanks, but dummy caps were available as pimping accessory in 80s/90s. Spare could be genuine Mini - this perforated format was used in early 80s onwards - eg /vehicle_300585-Mini-City-E-ADO20-1988.html . |
