It was based on the Ferrari Type 501 chassis with its small Type 110 4-cylinder 2-litre engine. This (blue) car competed in the 1954 Tour de France Automobile and remained in Italian ownership until 1959. Appearing at Pebble Beach in the 1980s, it was subsequently sold to Japan and then belonged to one of Switzerland’s most important collections in the 1990s.
