1975 GMC MotorHome Eleganza (confirmed by the current owners).

This one was locally famous because it was converted in 1981 by RKO Radio for 610 KFRC "The Big 610", Northern California's biggest music radio station. It became the first mobile studio of its kind (dubbed "The Sturgeon"), and was able to broadcast a live signal via satellite. In other words, the actual radio personalities would be sitting in the booth in the MotorHome and talking live on the air while driving around the San Francisco Bay Area.

The Sturgeon was then sold to sister station 93 KHJ in Los Angeles, and came back to 610 KFRC for a brief time until The Big 610 permanently switched formats in August 1986. It then became the mobile studio for Magic 61, KFRC's ill-fated replacement, seen here.

It continued to change hands until it ended up with a public radio station in Santa Cruz, CA, that had all but abandoned it by the mid 2010s. A former KFRC employee tracked it down and convinced the owner to sell it, and a major restoration began to take it back to how it originally looked (and worked) when RKO Radio had first converted it into the KFRC Mobile Studio in 1981.

I have personally been inside this Motorhome several times and even rode around San Francisco in it in 2019 with former 610 KFRC staff. It was a thrill and there's honestly nothing quite like it. I personally know the owners, and they still take fantastic care of it to this day. It was truly rescued.
