1964 tail lights, which were higher than 63, and the fins on 64 were a bit smalled as in this coach. This is a 1964 Cad Commercial chassis. 429 c.i., and the commercial chassis retained the old 4 spd hydromatic, while the rest of the cars had the new 3 speed Hyrdo.

"Hi-Top" is colloquial. Please make it a "Royale Rescuer".

(And the shovel wasn´t standard equipment, as far as I know ;) )

Major tell tales of the '64 are the lower lights. "64 are divided by a set of non lit red reflectors and both lenses are clear in color (white looking). As well as '64 is convexed ("V" shaped) outward as well as a slight widening at center and nerrow as they taper to top and bottom. '63 are flat at rear, and wide from top to bottom, lenses are split w/ red on top, and clear on bottom and 1 single fixed red reflector in center. Since the bumper end is shorter and wider for '63 it also makes the fin feel slightly taller. Then if you could see the trunk (on models that apply) '64 will have no sight of a key lock since this was the 1st year it was hidden behind the hinged Cadillac badge, '63 will have the key lock just below the "V" or laurel wreath.

It could also be a 1965 model as the limousines and commercial chassis for that year retained the 1964 body design.

Actuially that is not true. Only the Limo factory was on strike and the commercial chassis cars did change to the '65 style. I have had many of them.

Upgraded to 2**. Yes, certainly it's not used but you see this nice three times in three dramatic scenes. Old main picture showed a picture as [Image: Car10.jpg]

This is definitely a 1964 Cadillac Superior High Top Rescuer! The top has the 2 'humps' in the rear, the gas door is square(round in '63), the license plate is mounted in the bumper.
