Funny to see that Taco Bell logo, in European version it was replaced by Pizza Hut logo :)

Haha, yeah- the joke was that Taco Bell is a cheap and tacky place. They're not the cleanest fast food joints I've been to either. I know you guys don't have Taco Bell in Europe, well at least back when the movie came out.

Yes, here that name is completely unknown. I do not think that even now we have these, at least in Belgium.

I disagree with you, antp. The name "Taco Bell" is known for all who watch Hollywood production :D

On tv yesterday. They say 'Pizza Hut' but Dutch subtitles say 'Taco Bell'.
Why is that?

Because Pizza hut is known in Europe and Taco Bell not? See the comments above..

I've never seen a Taco Bell in Britain or Europe. We only have the biggest American franchises like McDonalds, Burger King, Subway, Pizza Hut and TGI Friday's. All these other American fast food chains, Carl's Jr, Wendy's, Arby's, Jack in the Box, most of us across the Atlantic have never heard of them (except those of us who have visited the USA).

Although I don't see why they had to change the logo for this one little in-joke, if us Brits and Europeans don't get it, it's our loss. I mean I don't like it whenever they have to Americanize things in films and TV shows from Britain and Europe, so it's no better when things like this are changed for "our benefit".

Yes, but the producers were being paid to show the logos. It's not for "our" benefit but for Pizza Hut's.

Yes, but Sandra Bullock and Sylvester Stallone say 'Pizza Hut', the Dutch subtitle company prints 'Taco Bell' on the screen...Why not use PH then?

It's a simple mistake. The translation was probably done from the script and not checked against the version of the film delivered to the Netherlands distributor.

I remember Taco Bell in Poland in 1993 when the movie came out (I suppose in other European countries they have it too back then), but it lasted about 3-4 years before it dissapears. I don't remember if the logo was changed to Pizza Hut or not though.

Never notices "Taco Bell" in Germany, but "Pizza Hut" exists here (I never go there, because at a real pizzaman you'll get bigger pizzas for a much better price), "KFC", too. "Subway" disappears again here. It seems, that they aren't successful enough (they are also quite expensive)

It seems that the capture with the taco bell version (cf my first comment above) was replaced at some point by the pizza hut version.
I couldn't remake a taco bell capture for comparison, as I have the EU version, but I noticed that in this scene they forgot to replace the logo on the glass:

To us Americans Little Caesars pizza would be similar to Taco Bell on the low end of the fast food spectrum.
