Body is similar to final production but lower bumper and different sidelights (which was a mid-62 change), plus larger tyres. Rear shot shows bonnet vents, and mesh rear panel behind number plate, similar shape to but not the same slat format as used on Imp Sport. The Apex prototypes 1-10 were experimental development cars used to test body and mechanical proposals/permutations to arrive at the final production format. Apex 10 finished this phase as pretty much the confirmed design. |
