Is that a Kaiser? |

1947 1/2-1948 Kaiser Custom 4 door sedan.It appears to have the 4 bumper overriders and large hubcaps ( model K 100 1947 1/2 or K 481 1948) |

The hood letters appear separated, though. My understanding is that the chrome underlining linking them togeter was a running 1947 change. |

It's a Special, not a Custom. A Custom would say 'Custom' on the fender flank and that would be visible in the shot we see. Most '47/'48 Kaisers had 4 bumper gaurds - not just the Custom so that's no telltale. Also, all 1947/48 Kaiser models had the same hubcaps so that's no telltale either. Early '47s had hubcaps that said 'Kaiser' on them - other than that, they were all the same. It's a typical '47 Kaiser special. A Kaiser Custom is a model K101 ('47) or K482 ('48). -- Last edit: 2016-05-13 04:39:32 |
