Scrapped. Even though the 10th digit is a 4 these German Fords use the year it was built; not the model year in the 10th digit. However, this is indeed a 2005 as the build sheet shows below. September of 2004 is 2005 MY. But, we usually list as 2005 the second generation EU Focus, which was introduced in September 2004 (hatchback) and November 2004 (wagon)  this would make the above example one of the very last Mk1..wouldn't be better to leave as 2004? Also the L after the displacement just means liter, I'd call it just 1.6 16V .gif ";)") |

If it says manufactured 2005, that'll be what it is. The wagons always continued for a little while. |

"Manufactured" in this case means the model year. |

So, all very late Focus Mk1 Wagon are 2005MY? I imagine those produced since September to the end (not sure when the very last ones were produced for EU market..here I don't remember any overlapping with the Mk2, but possibly it happened somewhere?) |

Indeed at first the 10th digit (for most manufacturers) would tell us the MY but ‘Manufactured’ is the Model Year. German Fords don’t use the 10th slot as the model year; the slot just tells us the year it was built. Indeed very confusing but the build sheet is accurate. |
