It looks like a support for the retracting rear window found on the Continental Mark III. If you look through the side window you can see something vertical to the left of the C-pillar. It looks like a support for the retracting rear window found on the Continental Mark III. You can see it pretty clearly at http://pics.imcdb.org/290/finders34.jpg too.
