I remember a brief discussion about the Trevi's name, here: /vehicle.php?id=3647

It seems like it's indeed simply a Trevi, based on the inscriptions. The Beta Trevi would have the Trevi on the right and a B next to the Lancia.

True, then it's one of the older versions.

Isn't it the other way around?

Sold in UK as just Trevi - the Beta name was dropped because of its association with rampant rust. Available July 81 - March 84 as 1600, 2000 and 2000 Auto - very low sales. Lancia did occasionally tweak UK names - eg the final Fulvia Coupe 3 was sold and badged as Fulvia S3.

As far I know, the name "Trevi" was used only in the last one or two years... But I could be wrong, of course.

I haven't considered this eventuality, I suppose that's like for the Fiat Ritmo/Strada.

My point exactly - you were saying "then it's one of the older versions", when this is a Trevi, rather than the older Beta Trevi ;)

At the beginning the name was "Beta Trevi". Later since the mild facelifting in 1983 it shifted to just Trevi.
The name origin is due to the fact that it was the 3 box (or saloon) version of the Beta. If You say 3 in Italian in "tre" and the Italian for boxes is "volumi". The first letter is V, so three Boxes translated as "tre volumi", could be said 3V and pronuonce as "trevi" a name famous for a Fountain in Rome.

This is a Mk I so a Beta Trevi.

It's already been said that the Beta Trevi was sold in the UK simply as Trevi, regardless of year
