junkman ◊ 2006-09-19 09:43	'Targa' is a registered trademark for Porsche AG. It is inappropriately used as a generic term for removable roof sections in the same way 'Jeep' is used for all kinds of off-road vehicles.
4x4peru ◊ 2006-11-03 04:20	Early model w/ 14 in wheels. The "S" in GTS is for Spyder and Ferrari uses that designation where Porsche uses Targa. "T-Tops" in the US started with the 1968 Corvette that maintained a center bar underneath two removeable panels. The result when open was a "T" look. The rear window was also removable on these Corvettes. After 1975 "T-tops" were very popular on many US vehicles as no factory "full convertibles" were produced (except 1976 Eldorado).
