Hmmm... They were marketed by Superior, but production was outsourced to Armbruster/ Stageway. I´d suggest listing this one as "Superior/ Armbruster/Stageway" or "Superior by Armbruster/ Stageway". Or even as Superior if you consider it of minor importance that it was build elsewhere... http://www.northlandpcs.com/northlanddb/preview.asp?photo_archive_no=575 |

I think we can just mention Superior. The company who built it is maybe less important? Actually, many cars are built by other companies (first one which comes in my mind: NedCar which was building cars in Netherlands for various makers...) -- Last edit: 2008-02-11 18:06:58 |

Ok. I just thought it could be interesting because Superior normally was the one to manufacture hearses and ambulances for other companies (e.g. the official Studebaker professional cars, that came in fact off the Superior assembly line). I´m not sure if they did some badge engineering within their bus division, but when it comes to professional cars, they always built them in-house. The A/S Buick hearses are the only exception in Superior history that I know of. ![]() |
