Yes, it is a trade plate. Figures are 085 - trade plates could start with a zero - but I can't think of a Scottish code beginning with J (except JS, Stornoway!)

A good joke, but the Humber in the picture actually pre-dates the formation of Rootes under that name, on 27 April 1931. Stornoway only existed as a LVLO from 1974, the original 1903 allocation of JS was to the County Council of Ross and Cromarty, so the trade plate looks even more outlandish in a film mainly about a Glasgow operation.
