If I'm not mistaken, it looks like these trucks have European license plates. Anyone know where they are originally from? |

Seems that UCC were a big British haulage firm in the 50s/60s/70s. Thread here including images of similar trucks: Link to "www.trucknetuk.com" |

ANP xxxH (2nd and 6th thumbs) is a genuine UK series, issued Worcestershire, Oct-November 1969. Both trucks (thumb 1) seem to have same livery for UCC; I've just read a magazine article about how UK truckers suddenly started major long-distance freight runs from UK to Middle East/Asia at the end of the 60s - the "Cola Cowboys" - mentions a few firms, but not UCC. Edit - Sandie's link has a photo of ANP or AMP 657H (the second picture) - I think the 6th thumb here is ANP/AMP 655H; AMP xxxH was also a genuine UK series, issued London, August 1969. UCC = Union Cartage Company. No UHP xxxH series issued - it would have been Coventry. Where were Scanias for UK made in 69? -- Last edit: 2012-07-08 00:14:34 |
