could be ... wikipedia says: "Audi sold a station wagon variant of the vehicle in some countries, although it was virtually identical to the European Passat wagon. The B1 platform was dropped from the European market in 1978, although it was sold into the 1979 model year in North America." ![]() -- Last edit: 2006-09-04 11:49:02 |

It is based on the Volkswagen Passat Variant [B1 / Typ 32/33] of 1974, which itself was the estate version of the Audi 80 {three-box/with boot} [B1 /Typ 80] (1972) and the Volkswagen Passat {hatchback} [B1 / Typ 32/33] (1973). In some countries in Europe the 'Variant', Volkswagen's name for an estate / station wagon, were sold as 'Audi 80 Estate'. If I remeber correctly this was the name in the UK, too. In the USA it was named 'Audi Fox Station Wagon'. |

But this one is a Passat Variant B1; Audi Fox (us) had double headlights |
