The 1997-1999 models have the passenger airbag dash, but like the C/K-3500/C-3500HD trucks here in the United States, they have a storage cutout instead of an airbag, as passenger-side airbags were not mandated at this time in Mexico, like they were in the U.S./Canada. The GMT800 models introduced passenger-side airbags in the Mexican market for 2000. Here's a '98 Suburban on Mercado Libre to show what I'm talking about.
