I strongly think, or I shoud say I am almost sure, this is a 1971 Seat 124 D with strangely a not original vertical (Fiat???) badge. This colour was deleted on the Fiat 124 after October 1968 but remained for a long while on Seats. Even the side trim is Seat 124 D (similar to that used by Fiat on the 125) |

Was the Seat exported to Austria? |

I never saw a Seat 124 in Austria but lots of Seat 600s and 850s. They were very common in the 70's and 80's anywhere in the "Bundesrepublik Österreich". |

I mean especially the 124. Does anyone knows more? |

Yes it was exported to Austria. The car with this trim is described in their brochure as "Fiat 124 Seat Luxus", but let's don't take it too literally, the facelifted ones were described as Fiat-Seat 124. Surprisingly, in case of this one (or Zastavas, or Polski Fiats), the word "Steyr" was rather not used). -- Last edit: 2013-05-31 00:25:49 |
