Yes - a fake plate. E297 GLW was a Golf GL 4+E 1.8. I think it's a 1.3 Cosmopolitan edition based on 1.3 L issued July 88 in Diamond white only, with sunroof, red inserts in bumpers and side mouldings, white wheel covers, tints and other tweaks.
