 This film takes place in Australia, apparently. So this is not a Galant, but a local version of the Sigma/Diamante. It's called either Sigma, or Verada if it's an upscale version, which I think this is.

 Exiv96 is correct. The movie was filmed in Australia, therefore the correct name of the car pictured above, is Mitsubishi Sigma.

 not in oz they were called magna or verada depending on trim level this one looks like either a kr or ks verada

 It's a KS Verada. That looks like a Victorian registration sticker.
You can tell it's a KS by the round headlights and those alloys, and the KS model was made between 1994-1996.

At the rear, KS Veradas can be identified by the clear indicators lenses. KR (1991-1993) models had amber indicators. (Note that only Veradas had the clear indicators. Equivalent 1994-1995 TS Magna models still had amber). These clear indicators were also used on TR Magna "Elite" trim.
