I would agree. The first one looks like a CJ3A/M38 version, probably made by Mitsubishi. The second one looks more like the Mitsubishi Jeep J4C, a CJ3B variant. Compare the roof-line and the distance between the lights and wheels.

Unless I missed it they didn't use these Jeeps for anything other than being part of a convoy. \
