The easily recognizable V-twin engine acting almost like a hood ornament piqued my interested and made me want to research this very unique car\motorcycle hybrid. I wasn't able to find out certain information. Does anybody know what components are under the enclosed portion of the hood\bonnet? Could that just be for storage? Also, what is the purpose of what look to be handle bars just behind the V-twin block?

I first saw this vehicle in the 1968 film The Party.
