johnfromstaffs ◊ 2012-02-07 15:34	There is such a lack of detail that it is difficult to say if the same car is shown in all the pictures. However, the suicide back doors and the shape of the luggage compartment say SS Jaguar, although whether 1 1/2, or one of the bigger ones is down to guesswork. As the film is 1939 and the name was not changed until 1945, we can say SS.
Sunbar ◊ 2012-02-07 15:57	All except thumbnail No. 5 are almost certainly the same car, by two continuous film clips of scenes in the movie and similar registration (CKX 2?? perhaps) seen. The close-up is less certain but intended to be the same car.
Bob Dieck ◊ 2012-02-07 19:22	No doubt: this is 1 1/2 liter SS Jaguar. The headlights were not the Lucas P-100 and you can see the shadow of a sidemount spare wheel. On the bigger models, the hood line was undisturbed by this wheel.
