It's not a good image but looks like a 1938 Humber 16 or Snipe, is there a clearer picture?

More images (the movie looks to be speeded up).
Registered CXK20 possibly.

If CXK 20, = April 36. If the film is speeded up, I bet the cyclist in 1st thumb has an interesting time?

Looking again, if it's a Humber, it's a big one not a Snipe, but it could also be a Vauxhall 25.

Humber Pullman, 1937-47.

Looking at it a number of times the whole movie looks to be slightly fast, adding to the comic impression (very slightly Benny Hill-like). So the car chase looks particularly odd. Somebody on the IMDb forum also mentioned it appeared to be 'time-compressed'.

Although the pictures are a bit blurry I think that this is a Hillman 80 limousine - built 1936 to 1938. Yes it could be a Humber Pullman but I think the giveaway is the double chrome stripe along the side of the bonnet - most Humbers appear to have only one. Also the running boards and boot look identical to those found on the shorter wheelbased Hillman 16 and Hillman Hawk (both built between 1936 and 1937). It is easy to mistake the 1938 to 1940 Humbers with these pre war Hillman models as Humber took over production of these models in 1938 initially using the same engines as the Hillmans and slightly modifying the bodies, grills, running boards, bumpers and boots, rebadging them as the Humber 16, Snipe and Super Snipe. Even those Humbers built between 1940 and 1944 bear a distinct resemblance to the pre war Hillman design as can be seen in Montgomery's Super Snipe "Victory" and "Old Faithful" cars, especially their front ends.
