 Nothing on check sites, but genuine Coventry issue plate between Oct 92 - July 93, maybe Jaguar registered. XJS was revamped May 93 so questin whether this is before or after changes. I think details match ordinary 5.3 before changes (eg non-body colour hood cover) - too many details wrong for post-change 6.0, any 4.0 or XJR-S 5.3 or 6.0.

Where/how d'you find that data?

K516 and K518DDU were both Jags (XJS 4.0 and Sovereign 4.0 respectively) registered late Jan 93, several months before 6.0 introduction.

 Merge with /vehicle.php?id=56839#Comment1907800 ? That car has different wheels and different bumpers but otherwise is very similar (both are post-1991 facelift)

 This car is post the 1993 (MY1994) facelift with body coloured bumpers. The other one isn't (though the thumbs are). Surprised a self-professed expert like yourself wasn't familiar with that update. And it is 4 stars so not sure why you want to merge them.

 1991 was the major facelift (new taillights, grille etc) and I gathered the earlier post-1991 cars still had black bumpers, I just didn't know when they switched to body-coloured ones.

I'm not an expert on any car, I just know certain details gleaned from internet searching.

Because they're obviously meant to be the same car belonging to the same character.
