I thin it was somewhere between 1982 - 1983 the Datsun brand changed to Nissan in Europe. |

Right,BeanBandit;in Italy we had known for many years the Nissan cars imported here as Datsun;in fact in Italy were sold the Datsun 1200(Sunny B110),240 Z(Fairlady S30),F-II(Cherry F10),Cherry 1200(Pulsar N10),120 Y/KLB-210 coupè(Sunny B210),Sunny 1300(Sunny B310)and Patrol diesel(Safari 160);for find a Nissan-badged car in Italy we must await until 1983,when Car & Sea(former Nissan's Italian Importer)began to sold Cherry N12 GLD(1.7lt. diesel-powered)with Nissan Brand(at home,originally,Datsun was the name given only at small-sized Nissans,being the bigger ones Nissan-badged in Japan;in plus,Nissan will use Datsun Brand also for export,but either for small and big -sized car,without distinction);when Nissan Motor Co.Ltd.would celebrate its early 50 years of existence just in 1983,the use(and relative existence)of Datsun Brand will be erased gradually as times goes by,until to disappear definitively. |

That series seems was codified as A 10(1977-1981) PS Was built under license also in Australia(as Nissan Stanza LX/SSS) and in Taiwan(as YLN 709 DX) |
