Is that Lada Samara worth a page (this is Curacao). |

It was introduced in Japan in 1986, but I do not know when this was introduced in Europe. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Toyota_Camry#V20_.281986.E2.80.931990.29 |

It was launched in August 1986 for the Japanese market, so it would obviously be 1987-89 |

Any suggestions for the white hatch on the left hand edge of the image? |

It reminds me a bit of the Subaru Leone Swingback: Link to "www.productioncars.com" |

But what about the Samara, import from Cuba? |

Maybe Lada had an offical distributor in Curaçao. |

@garco: very unlikely, as it's very problematical, at least impossible to get a car out of Cuba. Some classic car freaks had that idea, but this was chanceless. So in the books with or about the pre-1959 classic, which are still alive on Cuban streets, it's always said "Only for looking, no way to take one home with you". Plus the fact, that it's never recommended to purchase a car, which was running in countries with socialistic economy of scarity. In Europe cars, especially any Western made, but pre-war cars, too, which were running in Eastern Bloc-countries before 1990, may have an interestic specific history, but a very bad reputation, if you want to drive it as a classic by yourself. |

I disagree. Looks much more like the Toyota inscription to me. |

That's weird... Maybe the vehicle was moved while the comment was being posted? (possible bug that also occurs if a vehicle is deleted while posting a comment) -- Last edit: 2013-01-28 15:07:59 |
