The maximum resolution for DVD video is 720 × 576 (for 25 fps video) or 720 × 480 (for 29.97 fps). If your captures are larger than that, they've just been enlarged by your DVD player application and do not contain any greater detail than an image 720 pixels wide. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/DVD-Video#Frame_size_and_frame_rate |
