Yes... it's either a 1947+ Jaguar Mk.IV: /vehicle_128283-Jaguar-MkIV-1947.html or a pre-war S.S. something: /vehicles.php?resultsStyle=asImages&yearFrom=&yearTo=&makeMatch=2&make=s.s.&modelMatch=1&model=&modelInclModel=on&modelInclChassis=on&class1=1&origin=&madein=&madefor=&role= |

I agree with 1947+ when export was much more intense. Actually those Jaguar cars were named only by their engine capacity. This has the Lucas P100 headlamps what make it a 2 1/2 or a 3 1/2 litre. The 1.5 litre has smaller headlamps. If the car was prewar the correct would be SS Jaguar. The Mark IV brandname was given after Mk V was released, to clear from the new car. It is although universally accepted. |

Calling it a 2½ Litre for narrower grille. |

The pre-war cars (SS Jaguars) had a wider waist line chrome strip. So this car is Mk IV 2½ Litre. |
