Moskvich 400 agreed basically as war re-partions the Russians raided the Opel Factory in 1945 and grabbed the presses ; and design blue prints and any panels for the pre war Opel Kadett 1935-1939 (i understand included the entire contents of factory like the toilet bowls transported by train) which for all intence purposes it basically was the Opel with Moskvich badge in Russian this mean son of Moscow produced 1945-1955 - overseas exports started from around 1948-1949 - a locally produced 2 door estate was also produced and 4 door cabrio (such 4 door Cabrio was discovered in Estonia in 2002) Motorshows showed at Pozan Trade Fair in 1949 in Poland see 13th July 1949 The Motor (GB) supplement section - small black n white photo Displayed Brussels in Belgium 1951 see 19th January 1951 The Autocar (GB) page 65 Volume 96 Issue 2877 black n white photo - started to be sold in Belgium from 1951 One was tested in Brussels Belium a Brief Test 17th January 1951 The Motor pages 575-576 |
