pilou ◊ 2011-12-28 12:56	This is not a 1952 DeSoto but a 1951 DeSoto DeLuxe 8 passenger ( S-15-1).1951 DeSotos as here had a DeSoto head hood ornament DeSoto name written in graphic letters and long teeth. 1952 DeSotos had a false airscoop on the hood , the name DeSoto was written in block letters and the grille teeth were smaller.

Not quite right.
Not all 1952 Desotos had the airscoop. Some models continued with the Desoto head ornament. I believe it had to do with the engine application.
