Too big belted tires for a movie, set in the 60ies, or? |

58+ for wires, 62+ bonnet. |

I know it's probably wrong of me to ignore a reliable info like that, but the year off the plate is probably the right one. I don't think it's possible to list the car older than it actually is, this is actually a major felony in insurance and tax evasion. After a car turns 30 years old, you don't have to pay any annual tax, and a whole lot of the insurance gets knocked off, too. As the licence plate itself is not the original one (the licence number is original enough), it wouldn't surprise me that the wire wheels or the bonnet are not original features to this car. At best, we could list it as a 1958 model with a late 1957 registration and with a replacement bonnet. Sound good? By the way, is the VIN decodeable? |

If you're confident that plate info can not be adjusted, changing to 57 for 58my is OK by me. I looked at this +4 several times before deciding 62+ bonnet line because there is something odd about the shape and proportions - it could be a high bonnet 54-62 but with a much bigger grille than usual (eg /vehicle_292254-Morgan-Plus-4-4-Seater-1958.html ), for reasons which I can't explain. I also got the same impression from /vehicle_37169-Morgan-Plus-4-1958.html and /vehicle_189023-Morgan-Plus-4-1962.html so there could be a pre-62 high bonnet version which I don't have information for to match these 3. |
