What about the tan sedan? Looks like a 1980-81 Chrysler LeBaron. |

Ok with Ddey65, Wagon is probably a Ford Fairmont. |

1981-83 Ford Fairmont. The Futura was mainly used on the coupe version except on late models. -- Last edit: 2006-08-09 02:13:23 |

No, Ddey's right, it's an '82 Fairmont Futura. In '82, all models (sedans and station wagons) received the "Futura" name as well as the four-eyes. |

How can you tell it's an '82 vs. '81? They all look the same, especially from this angle and the change to 4 headlamps began on 1981 models : http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Ford_Fairmont |

You're right, it's an '81. The picture they had in my book was of a sedan with the old style single headlamps. I had to read the description to find out what you found: "In addition to the usual sedans and Futura coupe, Fairmont delivered a station wagon this year [1981] under the Futura badge. The four-door, steel-sided wagon had Futura's quad rectangular headlamps and distinctive grille, as well as body brightwork and an upgraded interior. Squire (woodgrain) trim was available at extra cost." Then in '82, the wagon was dropped and the sedans gained the Futura front clip and name. |
