Isn't a TR7 with the V8 a TR8? |

No, the rally car was always referred to as the TR7 V8 |

You are right partly. Small history of the TR7 and TR8. These two versions were developed at the same time, but for economic reasons, the TR7 is produced in 1976 (year 1977) and the TR8 at the beginning of 1980. Some specimens of the latter, despite everything, were produced front. 40 in 1977 and 145 in 1978. They were used for promotion in the USA, then were resold with the dealers of the mark. The TR8 is indeed a TR7 with a V8 engine. But with some other details which changed: -lower case (Pas sur de la traduction: caisse abaissée) -improved suspension -Double exit of exhaust (double sortie d'échappement) -a logo "3.5 liters" on each front wing -a logo TR8 on the bonnet -power-assisted steering -stealing Motolita. 414 cars were produced and only 40 stayed in Europe and the remainder in the USA. But the Tony Pond's TR7 rally was called TR7 V8. J'espère que c'est suffisament compréhensible, l'anglais n'est toujours pas ma langue maternelle. -- Last edit: 2006-08-06 10:06:17 |

Pas de problème, à part "lower case", que je ne sais pas vraiment traduire non plus en fait... |
