The old bus had ferried Hamersley Iron miners around the Pilbara both in the film and in real life in the 1970s, yet had been left languishing in a paddock in Karratha’s Light Industrial Area once it was no longer required on the Red Dog set. It took ten months of arduous mechanical repairs, but Darren was finally able to register the bus last November" but put up for sale again
Maddykat ◊ 2014-05-04 06:49	The 1978 Ansair Bus from the movie is in Perth (as opposed to Karratha) and should be back on the road later this year. I can't tell you much about it engine wise, except it is hellishly expensive to fix. -- Last edit: 2014-05-04 06:57:55
