dhill_cb7 ◊ 2020-09-17 17:36	@baube that is because they share the same/similar chassis. Yes it is from wikipedia but googling the platform does mention it was rooted in the European Escort. However, as with badge engineered models we tend to use the same code unless otherwise noted. Sometimes (Ford &Mazda) did this with the Ford Escape. Ford labeled their internal code as [U204] while Mazda used their own (I forget). The Verona, in a sense, is an Escort with Brazilian styling as it shares the same chassis.
