The 1300 badge was dropped after 1966 model year. We have 1500 engine only starting 1967 model year until in the 1970's. We don't call those model numeric on these [Typ 1] in our market after the 1966 '1300' badge. |

Driven by the German waitress Heidi, but one can also be spotted outside the home of Leo and Shelly Johnson (also a waitress at the same diner) in episode 1.4: -- Last edit: 2012-09-19 14:43:19 |

We can list this as 1968 Volkswagen Sedan 'Beetle'. |

We should list it so, because otherwise it's wrong. |

Was "Beetle" only ever a nickname or did it become official at some point? You give a short answer if you wish. -- Last edit: 2012-09-19 20:28:45 |

Sometimes in the late 70ies it became officially, because since then the local nicknames as Käfer, Kever, Beetle, Coccinelle etc.... were written on the sales brochures. |
