Is there a country- or company-logo on the left side of the plate? It seems to be a new Euro-style-plate. |

Possibly a company or club logo. I'm not sure that it's legal but it is possible to have almost anything - flags (St. George's, St. Andrew's, Welsh, Pakistani, Jamaican ...) on the end of a Euro size plate. |

Registered in Oct 1986, but someone entered the year as 1987 - that was the first model year for the XJ40, which replaced the Series III XJ6 (only the V12-engined Series III models continued). So this can't be a 1987 model year, surely? -- Last edit: 2011-10-24 18:58:50 |

Agree not 1987my. DVLA details for D571 NOB are: Date of Liability 01 09 2012 Date of First Registration 16 10 1986 Year of Manufacture 1986 Cylinder Capacity (cc) 4235cc CO2 Emissions Not Available Fuel Type PETROL Export Marker N Vehicle Status SORN Not Due Vehicle Colour GOLD Vehicle Type Approval Not Available XJ40 launched Oct 86 and XJ6 S3 discontinued at same point - this one would have been one of the absolute last ones, probably even registered a few days after the XJ40 launch. Switch to 86. |

As a point of order, 6 cylinder Series III production continued until April 1987: http://www.jaguarheritage.com/t/othercars_028 But as this one was registered in 1986 probably best just to leave it. -- Last edit: 2016-02-20 19:19:24 |
