The grille and badging, plus number place moved between the headlamps indicate a series 2A which arrived in mid-1963 according to http://www.rootes-chrysler.co.uk/car-history/spacevan.html |

This should be a 1963-65 Commer 1500 FC Series 2A I believe. The description 1967 Commer 1500 Series 2A [PA] is not possible. Year of registration I believe is 1963 The 'E' must be the final letter in a reversed number-letter sequence (e.g. 123CDE) and not a date-year identifier introduced from 1963 when "A" was (rarely) used by only some councils (e.g. NAT123A), the letter changed to "B" in 1964 by all registration districts. The 1500 FC Series 2A 1963-65 front grille, side-lights without separate turn-signals is seen here (the Series 2A arrived in mid 1963). The 1500/2500 [PA] was in production from 1966-67. The description in the link http://www.rootes-chrysler.co.uk/car-history/spacevan.html confusingly suggests the van was first developed as the [PA] version but the [PA] was actually preceded by the [FC]. |

Commer 1500 series 2 built between 1962-1963,then replaced by the 1500 series 2A,both have the same grille but badges different series 2 have the badge like the one above and 2As have the Commer name in separate letters like the later PAs and PBs |
