I'm going for Hooper Empress body as used on Rolls-Royce Silver Cloud I and Bentley S1 about 1958. Lots of other Hooper RRs, Daimlers etc used this general shape but rear quarter windows usually more angular. 19 RRs built with this body - apparently all LWB - and 7 Bentleys - mixing SWB and LWB. Door looks short so I tend towards SWB and therefore Bentley. Lots of photos/info Link to "www.coachbuild.com" , but this could be a known car and therefore exactly identified. Edit - maybe KCH 500 (RR) - Link to "www.flickr.com" or Bentley SGF 862 http://www.classic-hire.com/bent.html ?!?! -- Last edit: 2011-10-11 21:34:35 |

Dsl, pretty much on the dot, but it is a LWB Touring Saloon with division, a Silver Cloud I, most likely. (You can see the channels guiding the division glass). One of 19. Though ALC5 was in a 1967 movie, the car shown was almost new when this movie was shot, so I have a hunch it may be BLC31, a 1958 car supplied to Vivien Leigh, Lady Olivier, in the name of V.L. Productions Ltd. -- Last edit: 2011-10-11 22:57:27 |
