Coachbuilt body - James Young? Very unusual as 2 door.

Info at http://www.rrab.com/feb12.htm - the pair of 2 doors seem to be
1] #BC76XC, delivered in 1964 to Switzerland, later went to USA and "not too long ago has been in the trade". Presumably LHD?
2] #BC12XD, illustrated with plate ECD 348C with cream or pale grey over maroon livery.
Would be interesting to pin this one down, but can't find other references.

I think this has to be BC12XD, although there are some confusing twists with several colour changes and both have a Swiss connection as BC12XD was shown at the 65 Geneva show. This 2020 sales listing gives the story "James Young produced a limited number of bodies for Bentley Continentals during the 1950s and 1960s, with Design No CT150 on the S3 Continental being one of their last and also finest designs, with just two cars built in this style. This example, ChassisBC12XD was the second of the two and completed in March 1965. It was originally finished in porcelain white with black leather interior and supplied by Jack Barclay Ltd to Freemans Ltd of Clapham Road in London, after being shown on the James Young stand at the 1965 Geneva Motor Show. It was supplied by P&A Wood during the 1980s and was then worked upon by Frank Dale & Stepsons in 1990 when works were carried out to the coachwork. The original white paint was removed, the coachwork was restored and the car was re-painted in two tone grey, with a new interior trimmed in grey with burgundy piping, which still retains today. It was then supplied by us and most recently by P&A Wood again. Whilst in the care of its most recent owner, the car has been repainted to a very high standard, in garnet".

Its grey phase with ECD 348C plates; also another phase of silver/grey over red as seen on the RRAB page and which matches plate info

Things get interesting on this flickr page for one of the 5 (or 6?) similar RR SC3 2 doors where "BentleyChap" (AKA Martin Forster) wrote 10 years ago "James Young, whose records were very poorly kept, built seven of these bodies. Five were finished as Silver Cloud IIIs and two as Bentley S3s. I owned one of the two Bentleys from 1985 until about 1992. Mine was the original white as delivered to the owners of the Freeman clothing catalogue company in London in 1965. Its maiden voyage was to Geneva where it appeared at the 1965 Salon d'Auto, as James Young's show car. I tried to find the whereabouts of the second Bentley, but was never able to discover it. All I know of that car is that it was produced in dark green. I drove my car back to Geneva in summer 1985 as a 20th anniversary journey, and thence around France. The chassis number of mine was BC12XD. I bought my car from P&A Wood, and resold it through them."

... which joins up a lot of the Frank Dale history, and claims t'other one was dark green. And on the same flickr page this comment, again from 10 years ago from "fischen" says "BentleyChap - I read your comment about your S3 JY coupé. I own the car, and also its twin. My email is count.faustig@gmail.com". Presumably Count Faustig no longer owns both.
