it looks more like a Mercedes Benz W108 with a Rolls-Royce Camargue front fascia.

1972 or later due to larger side indicator.

I hope no-one ever built one. About as elegant as /vehicle.php?id=389392 .

What? Yes, sure, that one was built! :D It's a Pilato conversion and I suppose the updated front end was also carried out by them.

...

:hello: was Pilato also the coachbuilder of real Rolls-Royce Hearses?
For example of the Silver Spirit Hearse, which was offered on the 2016(?) Veterama in Mannheim?
For not really much money, 14.000€ IIRC.

@ingo: I don't know which one was offered at the Veterama, but Pilato did build the occasional Rolls-Royce hearse. Whatever the customer wants and is willing to pay. :)

Oh, I hadn't seen that one before. This is not a Pilato, but a British conversion like this one /vehicle_769099-Rolls-Royce-Silver-Spirit-Hearse-1984.html Glenfrome Engineering or Auto Development Centre or Le Marquis/ Robert Jankel made such things and it might be an ADC conversion.

 Ah, so jfs's comment there:
johnfromstaffs wrote Bearing in mind the rate at which the basic saloons are being scrapped due either to serious rust or electronic failures, it doesn't seem to have much future unless the present owner has a bottomless wallet.

explains the remarkable low price of the Veterama-offer.
