Flat screen, flat hood, a 1200 or 1300. I had these wheels on a 1972 1302 LS |

Headlamp style started with the 1300 in the UK I thought? (but I'm no expert on Volkswagen ). -- Last edit: 2006-07-21 15:21:35 |

The headlight style started in 08/1968 world wide The quality of the picture isn't sharp enough to get the year exactly (can't recognize the indicators on the fender). But it is definitaly NOT a 1302 or 1303. Not only the flat hood or flat windshild indicating that, also the narrow hood. But the metallic paint speeks for a beetle out of the Mexican production (1982-1985) and could be a special edition 'Silver Bug' (if it is silver) or 'Ice blue' (if it's light blue metallic). Silver metallic was only available on Mexicans only through the 80s |

[quote=kaefergarage.de]The headlight style started in 08/1968 world wide This headlight style started in August 1966 ( 1967 model year ) in US Beetles, although they still had the old-style bumpers. With these type of bumpers, the vertical headlights were introduced in August 1967 ( 1968 model year ). From what is possible to see, this car has the indicators on the front wings. The indicators integrated in the bumper started with the 1975 model. |

I think, that it has the "Weltmeister"-alloy-wheels. It's my impression. But it's definetely not a real "Weltmeister"-special model. |

@kaefergarage.de: didn't have the "Silver Bug"-edition black stripes at the bottom of the sides? |
