FWIW, it was available (and built) in ZA as the Chevrolet Chevair, as Wikipedia also has it. I was not aware that it was named as such anywhere else! |

The Opel Sedan 4-door with this body was called Ascona, but the front-end was different. This front-end was only on the Opel Manta B, then a Coupé 2-Door. |

This body was also sold as Vauxhall Cavalier Mk1 (1975-81) like here http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Vauxhall_Cavalier . Although I can't remember those vents in the hood/bonnet.  orign GB is wrong here, origin ZA has to be correct. It's not identical with the Vauxhall Cavalier, just similar. This ZA-car has the real Manta B-nose, the Vauxhall not. |

The actual Vauxhalls, which are identical with the Opels (i.e.all after the Cavalier MkI) have just different grilles and badges - here, these models, Chevair/Cavalier MkI/Ascona B, have a complete different front, not just the grille.
