From the provided shots, this bus has 3 sets of paired windows (there's one unpaired window not shown) between the front and rear doors, 2 sets of paired windows on the rear, and in a Liberty Coaches livery (This company merged with a few other bus companies in Westchester County, New York to become Liberty Lines Transit, one of three private bus companies that provide a bus service in and around the aforementioned county called The Bee-Line System). The only lead I could gather is a discussion in BusTalk that mentions a preserved Liberty Coaches GMC bus model TDH-5105, which refers to this pic (on the left). Unfortunately, the Ohio Museum of Transportation doesn't have Liberty Coaches listed in any of the "Old Look" production lists, so I'm not absolutely certain if the bus in the above shots is a TDH-5105. Any comments from Mr. TDM 4512 or anyone else that knows about "Old Looks"?  -- Last edit: 2011-11-09 08:15:29 |

They say; "better late than never"! The coach in your pictures is a GM Model TDH 5105 purchased second hand from Cleveland Transit Company by Liberty Lines when they took over the Westchester County (NY) operation of Fifth Avenue Coach (FACCO) in 1969. Originally, it was used in service carrying Liberty's livery as in your picture. It was decided at some point down the road to preserve it at which time it was repainted to the livery of the defunct Surface Transportation System (an affiliate of FACCO). It was then later painted again back to Liberty's colors and flag (as seen in the attached photo) and has been preserved since by the former owners of Liberty.
