I agree. With the old type hubcaps and the new style front bumper it must be a 1963-1965 model. Interesting to see that the colour is 'gris ciel lourd' (AC 120), indicatong a 1966 only version. I'm afraid we see here an example of the "Contrôle 196x" (1966 in this case): because there was such a gap between the 2-cylinder Citroëns and the ID/DS-series, Citroën sold revised second-hand ID/DS 'as new', with a 6-months warranty. The cars got all-new mechanics and current paint to make them look like new cars. AFAIK this practise was only used in France and Italy. |

I start to hesitate.... I just saw the picture is pirrored, and therefore I'm not sure that this car still has the old wipers. Since th hubcaps are quite dirty and that would be the only reason to think this is a pre-1965 car I'll change to 1966 (because of the colour). |
